FAMILY WAY ADULT FAMILY HOME AGENCY
Family Way Adult Family Home Agency aims to help adult consumers with developmental disabilities ages between 18 thru 62 years. Adults, interested in providing care and receiving clients into their homes as part of the family unit.
Family Way AFHA recruits and trains family members on how to become home providers. Once a family is trained by Family Way AFHA, they are certified as Adult Family Home Providers. Family Way AFHA then engages a mutual selection process to best match the client with the family.
Ongoing support is given to the family by professional staff of Family Way AFHA Home Services division of California Institute of Health and Social Services, Inc.
FAMILY WAY AFHA PHILOSOPHY
Our belief is that every person with a developmental disability deserves a home setting in his/her own community and the opportunity to reside with a family committed to his/her care, growth and total positive life experience.
Family Way AFHA is committed to placing adults with Developmental disabilities in homes whose environment is warm, safe and caring, ensuring the consumer is integrated into the complete home environment, further ensuring they will be fed, clothed and hygiene habits are up to standard.​
ADULT HOME PARENTING PROGRAM (HELPS)
Provides intensive and specialized services for consumers with children under the age of five years, in the family home setting. Qualified professionals will provide the consumers and Home Providers with ongoing training and support.
The goal is to educate and empower the consumers to become responsible parents.
