California Institute of Health & Social Services provides quality services to children and their families who have entered the Child Welfare System and/or those in marginalized underserved communities.  By providing comprehensive mental health services to children identified as having mental health problems and emotional disturbances, we strive to prevent placement disruptions and increase stability of the child in the home, school and community.

The holiday season can be a challenging time for some of our youth, and this year we will try to give a unique gift to each child/youth receiving services provided by our agency.  Please help us to continue with countless success stories of children adults and families who have been positively impacted by our services.  California Institute of Health & Social Services, Inc. CIHSS/Alafia Mental Health Institute serves approximately 240 clients ranging from age 3 to 43 years old; however the majority of our clients are between 5 and 18.
